Time-Lapse Video Shows Operation To Lift Cruise Ship
Time-lapse video from September 16 shows the day-long operation to lift the capsized Costa Concordia cruise ship from its side into an upright position so it can be towed away and broken up for scrap. The ship struck rocks off the coast of Giglio, Italy, in January 2012, killing 32 people. The operation to salvage the ship is estimated to cost more than 600 million euros ($795 million.)
